German National Tourist Board
For over 60 years the German National Tourist Board (DZT) has been working internationally on behalf of the Federal Government to promote Germany as a travel destination. In 2018, the DZT is focussing on hospitality and food culture in the theme year “Culinary Germany”. In 2019 the focal theme will be “100 Years of the Bauhaus”.
German Olympic Sports Confederation
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is the umbrella organisation of German sport. It has more than 27 million members in around 91,000 sports clubs.

With over 7 million members, the German Football Association (DFB) is the world’s largest national sports federation – and the only football association where both the men’s and the women’s team have won the World Cup.

International Sports Promotion
International Sports Promotion has been part of the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural relations and education activities abroad since 1961. Since then it has supported 1,400 projects in over 100 countries. It primarily promotes sports for women, youth, and people with disabilities, in an effort to advance integration.

German Wine Institute
The German Wine Institute (DWI) is the German wine industry’s communications and marketing arm. Its main task is to promote the quality and sales of German wine.
Gut leben in Deutschland
In 2015, the Federal Government conducted a dialogue with the people of Germany about their view of the quality of life in the country. It resulted in 46 quality-of-life indicators, which are continually updated and enable “living well” to be measured.
